Treat Map 2021

Covid-19 haunted Halloween…again.

For years, Nextdoor had been known for its Treat Map, which showed neighbors which nearby homes were offering candy, so they could plan their trick-or-treating route.

Even though many Americans were vaccinated by this point in 2021, the new Delta variant was ramping up. Some neighbors were still game to trick-or-treat, while others didn’t want to risk it.

The resulting content design targeted both types of users, striking a happy medium between offering in-person safety guidance and contact-free fun.
